Ancient Waters

In this universe there are things we can’t recognise or understand.

As humans we only understand what we can comprehend.

We dismiss those anomalies around us as not relevant.

What if we’re not alone on this hunk of rock?

What would happen if we coexisted along side other lifeforms but failed to understand them?

Ashborough is just an ordinary town in the north of England until the dark water arrives.

Reviews

  • Great description and scene setting! The way you describe it all is very atmospheric and you can almost imagine the mizzle as you called it. I love the mysteriousness which seems to be underlying. Very intriguing, and the whole black thing in the second chapter is definitely quite spooky.
